Applications for scholarships are now closed and will reopen February, 2021.
On July 17, 1857, a gift from J. Newton Perkins endowed the first award at Norwich Free Academy, beginning the long tradition of annual recognition of the achievements of our students.
Today, the NFA Foundation, Inc. scholarship program has grown to more than 340 endowed and annual awards. Students are recognized for academic, artistic, and athletic excellence, as well as citizenship, character, sportsmanship, and integrity. Because of the generosity of Foundation donors, the NFA Foundation, Inc. has awarded over $1.5 million to NFA students over the past five years alone.
Only Norwich Free Academy students are eligible for the NFA Foundation scholarships. Scholarships are awarded at the annual Art Awards, Athletic Awards, and Class Night ceremonies.
To be considered for NFA Foundation scholarships awarded at Class Night, students must complete the General Scholarship Application and the Senior Survey on Naviance. For more information, please contact your school counselor.
There are several scholarships that require a specific application form. Details and applications for the Eva Virginia Smith Scholarship, Sidney E.
