NFA Senior Lilliana Edilee Lorenzo Concepcion was awarded a Martin Luther King scholarship.  Each year, organizations and individuals join The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Trust Fund by supporting and sponsoring a $20,000 scholarship paid over a four year period for each MLK student scholar attending a college or university.

NFA’s award winner, according to her school counselor, Ronald Noyes, is “a strong student” taking Advanced Placement and UConn Early College Experience Courses.  She is dedicated and works, very hard,” says Noyes, adding that she has plans to become a physician.

Lorenzo is heavily involved in NFA’s Project Outreach, volunteers at Backus Hospital, and is a active parishioner at St. Mary’s Parish in Norwich.
