List of Foundation Scholarships

The application period is open until April 14, 2024. 
 
To be considered for many of the NFA Foundation scholarships, students must complete the NFA Foundation Scholarship Application. Click on a category tab below to read more about the various scholarships available to NFA students.  For more information, please contact your school counselor.
 
Sam and Randy Deglin Art & Noise Scholarship - Established by the friends and classmates of Samantha and Randy Deglin, this scholarship honors their memory and celebrates their artistic spirit by encouraging creativity of all kinds by Norwich Free Academy students.
 
Eva Virginia Smith Scholarship - Established through the bequest in of Eva Virginia Smith, a friend of Norwich Free Academy, this scholarship provides aid to worthy students to assist them in pursuing their education after graduation.
 
Dale and Anna (Class of 1947) Arnold Scholarship - Established through the bequest in of Dale Arnold, a friend of Norwich Free Academy, in honor of his wife Anna, NFA Class of 1947, this scholarship provides aid to assist students with their post-secondary education.
 
*Sidney E. Frank Memorial Scholarship - Awarded every four years to a graduating senior of high academic ability who will attend one of the top colleges or universities in the country. The Scholarship will cover billable college expenses for four consecutive years, provided the student meets the annual eligibility requirements. *Next available scholarship will be granted in 2024.
 
Sis O'Neil Scholarship - Awarded to an accomplished female athlete with financial need.  The recipient promotes sportsmanship and is committed to academic excellence.  
 
Quinlan Family Award - Established in memory of Marion R. Quinlan, NFA English teacher from 1950-73, awarded to a graduating Norwich Free Academy senior who who has demonstrated distinction in English and to provide assistance to that worthy student in pursuing higher education upon graduation.
