For the second year, Norwich Free Academy Supporting Our Servicemen & Women Club (SOS) has sponsored the Norwich Field of Honor® for veterans and active duty military members. Over 170 flags appear on the Academy's front lawn through November 17.

Wildcat Marching Band

At the October 28, USBands New England State Championships, NFA Wildcat Marching Band scored a 92.3 (a new high score) and was named 2018 Group IV Open State Champions -- a great achievement. Watch to see Band Director Kristen Motola's colorful recognition of student success.

Playshop Presents Anatomy of Gray by Jim Leonard

Playshop is getting ready for their fall production, on stage this weekend in Slater Auditorium. Described as a "children's story for adults," the fall play shows the skills of the students and the strengths of NFA's program.

"I'm proud of the work the cast and crew have done thus far, and I think this will be something special," says Phil Trostler '03, teacher and director. "[It's a] different type of play, but a great script, a very interesting story and characters."

A cast and crew of about 40 students, presented a sneak preview this week. "The response from faculty and students has been overwhelming," Trostler says. It seems we may have a hit on our hands."

A Tradition Continues

The Wildcat Football team take on the New London Whalers, Thanksgiving morning, November 22 at 10 a.m. at New London High School. This year's game will be streamed LIVE by The Day's GameDay Connecticut Sports.
